Contact Feature: Blind & Mesh Lenses

Welcome to spooky season! October is finally here, and we at Crazy Lenses couldn’t be happier. Halloween is our favourite time of year because it means that we get to use our beloved SFX Lenses. This October, shop special effects lenses to get a Halloween costume that will have heads turning wherever you go! From cat-eye and snake designs to mini sclera lenses to character-accurate cosplay contacts, we’ve got a little bit of everything, perfect for any look. Today, we thought we’d go over one of our most popular ranges: Blind and Mesh Lenses!

Blind lenses and mesh lenses are a big favourite around spooky season, as they give the wearer a blind-eyed effect that’s really effective in zombie, ghost, and witch costumes. However, these lenses also impair your vision, which means that we don’t recommend wearing them to your upcoming Halloween parties. So, before you take the leap and buy one of our vision-obstructing styles, make sure to read the blog below for all the information you need.

Blind Lenses:

Blind lenses cover your entire eye, including your pupil hole. This means that they give you a ’blind’ look.

Lots of people like using our blind lenses for their Halloween costumes. You can use blind lenses for undead characters like ghosts or zombies, as well as witchy characters like seers or avatars.

Our blind lenses come in a variety of staple colours, with the number one favourite being the Blind White Daily Lenses, available for only £8.95.

Please note: Blind lenses cover your pupil, which means that they severely impact your vision. You will not be able to do anything that requires full visibility while wearing them (i.e; driving). We recommend ONLY wearing your blind lenses for spooky photos, and then switching them out with regular colour-block lenses before you leave the house.

Mesh Lenses:

Mesh lenses also cover your entire eye, much like blind lenses. They also conceal your pupil hole, and must also be treated with extreme care. The main difference with mesh lenses is that they’re made up of a fine mesh instead of a solid block of pigment.

Just like blind lenses, mesh lenses are big favourites in the zombie and ghost department. However, our mesh lenses actually come in a wider variety of colours, with a few UV-reactive options thrown into the mix. Our bestselling style is the White Mesh UV Monthly Lenses, perfect for a glowing, blinded look.
