Whether you’re using a pair of Cat Eye contact lenses for their intended cat-themed purpose or you’ve decided to let your creativity flow and come up with an intriguing styling, it’s important to stay safe when using contact lenses. All of our lenses are FDA-approved, so you can be assured that all of them are completely safe for your eyes; however, we recommend running through some basic checks before ordering and wearing your chosen lenses.
Before buying your contact lenses, check that they are suitable for your eyes by having a contact lens fitting. Ensure the measurements of the contacts match the measurements you have been advised to wear; if your measurements don’t match the lens could slip during wear, causing discomfort and, at worst, damage to your eye.
Once you have received your lenses, check that they have not been damaged during storage or transportation, that they match the duration and size you ordered, and that they are the colour you expected. This information should all be on the box or the outside of the blister packs that contain the lenses.
Next, read our informational leaflet to familiarise yourself with the instructions for inserting our contact lenses. Allow the lenses to soak in fresh solution for at least 2 hours, and wash your hands before handling and inserting them.
Our lenses can be enjoyed for up to 8 hours before it is time to remove them. This prevents your eyes from becoming dry and sore. If you have reusable contact lenses, clean and soak them in contact solution in an airtight container.
